ITpreneurs, a Dutch headquartered firm that provides IT training content and services founded by an alumnus of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) has won an award in recognition for supporting the creation of new markets and driving adoption of IT Best Practice (including ITIL®, PRINCE2® and BiSL®) in Japan.

ITpreneurs won the Deshima Business Award for small and medium-sized enterprises presented by the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ) to Dutch companies in recognition of outstanding business leadership and new market development. This award is recognition of the work that ITpreneurs team has done over the past 13 years globally and especially in Japan since 2005.

ITpreneurs was founded in 2001 by RSM Full-time MBA alumnus Sukhbir Jasuja, and grew into a global company with more than 150 employees, among which are many RSM alumni. Sukhbir was a recipient of RSM’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011. The Japan and Asia Pacific business of ITpreneurs is managed by another RSM alumnus, Katsushi Yaginuma (FT MBA 2005), who has built ITpreneurs into a significant and influential player in the IT best practices training market in Japan and other parts of Asia Pacific.

On receiving the Deshima Business Award, Sukhbir comments, “ITpreneurs has received an award for creating new markets. It once again demonstrated that our focus on evangelising and creating new markets creates value for the IT industry as a whole. We take a long term but results focussed approach by enabling IT consulting and training companies to adopt new products and frameworks, and be able to demonstrate the value of the new and emerging frameworks and best practices.”

ITpreneurs accepted the award on 29 October at the Deshima Business Awards Ceremony in Tokyo.
