Job description

At the Education Services department of RSM, we are currently looking for a programme manager MSc programmes for a period of one year, starting 1 August 2026 (exact date can be discussed). 

This vacancy is for temporary cover and is for 0.8-1.0 FTE (4-5 days per week). We require that you work on campus at least two days per week. On the other days, you may work from home. To ensure easier hybrid working, we provide you with a laptop and accessories. 

As the programme manager MSc programmes, you manage a portfolio of 12-month and/or 18-month Master of Science programmes. Additionally, you contribute to the enjoyable study experience of our MSc students and participate in a friendly and collaborative team. As a member of the RSM Education Services department, you work in our offices on the fifth floor of Mandeville Building on the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) Woudestein Campus. 

In this role you: 

  • Ensure the correct and timely registration of students in programmes, courses and exams
  • Act as the main point of contact for students for logistical and organisational issues
  • Liaise with the academic director and teachers to provide an optimal support structure for the respective programmes
  • Implement elements of the quality control cycle, e.g., course evaluations
  • Liaise with departmental colleagues on relevant issues e.g., scheduling staff, examination board, international office, admissions team, and career centre
  • Liaise with partner schools
  • Organise programme-related events, e.g., introductory activities for new students
  • Actively support incoming and outgoing student mobility
  • Provide help and general advice on all aspects of the master thesis
  • Create regular reports
  • Actively suggest and implement process improvements and contribute to updating our existing process documentation
  • Contribute to education-related special projects
  • Contribute to marketing and recruitment activities
  • Create an enjoyable study experience for master students
  • Travel occasionally, nationally and internationally, including overnight stays.  

Job requirements

Your qualifications include: 

  • Minimum Dutch HBO degree or equivalent
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English (minimum CEFR level C1: read, write, speak, and comprehend) and advanced knowledge of Dutch (minimum CEFR level B1: read and comprehend)
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with the MS Office suite, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and, ideally, Teams and SharePoint
  • Ideally, you have experience in academic programme management and/or academic project management.

The start date of this position is 1 August 2026 and you will be based at Campus Woudestein in Rotterdam. This position is for 0.8 fte - 1 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and it ranges from a minimum of € 3,546 to a maximum of € 5,538 gross per month Scale 8 to 10 on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU.

Group

Together with your MSc programme management team members, you support the educational processes of around 3,000 international and Dutch students in 15 Master of Science programmes. You are part of an international, diverse team. You have eight direct colleagues and have frequent online and face-to-face contact with students, teaching faculty, neighbouring teams, and occasionally external parties. You are available to occasionally work evenings or weekends and travel nationally (2-3 x per year) and internationally (1-2 x per year). 

 

Department

The department is headed by two cluster leads and consists of several teams such as programme management, schedulers, recruitment and admissions, study advice, learning consultants, exchange office, examination board support, and a career centre. Altogether, there are around 65 employees working in RSM Education Services.
