Introduction
You’ll be a member of the RSM Digitalisation & Information Services (RDIS) department, which is the primary IT and innovation function at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).
To improve IT support for all RSM staff, we decided to collaborate and centralise the IT ordering process within RSM, so we’re looking for a new, dedicated, and enthusiastic colleague to work in this fucntion and strengthen our team for 16 hours per week. Your direct contacts (customers) are all RSM employees: researchers, teachers, and our professional services staff. You will have creative freedom to explore and implement efficient solutions that are needed for facilitating IT support. You will work closely together with our IT Demand Manager.
Job description
- IT orders
- Place orders at our preferred suppliers
- Manage and communicate the lists of product ranges and suppliers to RSM (e.g. via our intranet)
- Negotiate with the suppliers about improvement of the terms of delivery
- Monitoring and complaints
- Monitor agreements by tracking purchase orders and contracts
- Act as first point of contact for complaints and handle the complaints
- File complaints at our suppliers and find alternatives if necessary
- Take care of warranty issues
- Check deliveries
- Advice
- Inform employees about procedures and product range
- Work with our specialists to advise employees about equipment for specific needs
- Act as first point of contact if there are conflicts with the supplier
- Advise the IT Demand Manager about new terms for purchase and service (e.g., change in demand) and escalate action to address problems in the supply chain or support chain
- Administration
- Register IT orders and inform employees about their progress
- Verify invoices
- Keep track of documentation for product ranges (product information, price information)
- Manage RSM assets via the registration tool (TOPdesk).

The start date of this position is 01 April 2026 and you will be based at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). This position is for 0.4 FTE. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of €3,057 to a maximum of € 4,484 gross per month (Scale 7 / 8) on a full-time basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU. The contract is entered into for the duration of one year and can be converted into a permanent contract if performance is good and the organisational circumstances remain unchanged.

The team of more than 20 colleagues include various sub-teams, all with their own expertise. These teams work independent of each other, but form a strong team at heart. Your sub-team consists of you and the IT demand manager, with whom you will work closely.
