The Department of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship is looking for a Research Assistant (RA) to support a research project that examines human interaction with an artificial intelligence tool currently under development.
Job description
This role supports a research project that examines human interaction with an artificial intelligence tool currently under development. Research assistants will contribute to literature reviews, data preparation, data cleaning, and potential coding of interaction data. This position is ideal for students with an interest in psychology, human technology interaction, qualitative data analysis, and the study of emerging technologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews and background research on topics related to psychology, artificial intelligence, and human computer interaction.
- Support the coding of qualitative and quantitative data produced through interactions with the developing artificial intelligence tool (relevant training will be provided).
- Apply coding frameworks, document coding decisions, and assist with ensuring reliability and consistency across coders.
- Clean, organise, and maintain datasets according to project protocols.
- Filter, categorise, and prepare data for further analysis.
- Prepare brief summaries, research memos, and documentation to support project progress.
- Participate in discussions regarding methodological refinements, data patterns, and tool development.
- Assist with general research coordination and administrative tasks related to data management.
Job requirements
This position requires a part-time commitment (formally 0,5 days/week for 6 months, which may be spread differently depending on the project’s needs). The starting date of the position is on the 5th of January 2026.
What we expect from you?
- Some coding experience is desirable (for example Python, R, or qualitative coding software).
- Strong academic track record.
- Strong interest in psychology or related behavioural or social science fields.
- Excellent research ethic and integrity, including careful attention to detail, respect for data integrity, and consistent adherence to protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage responsibilities independently.
- Curiosity and willingness to engage deeply with emerging insights.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Prior involvement in academic research or structured literature reviews.
- Some prior experience with data cleaning or organisation.
