Study and year of graduation: Full-time MBA, 1993
Job title: Author of the novel Malcolm MacPhail's Great War
What are the most valuable skills that you took from your education at RSM?
The ability to work under pressure together with others, particularly those from culturally very different backgrounds. The basics of accounting and finance also proved invaluable.
What was your most memorable moment at RSM?
There were quite a few, but to name one, hanging out with classmates from all over the world at the Oude Haven on a warm summer evening.
How would your former classmates describe you?
That's a question likely better asked of them! I wouldn't dare to guess.
How do you stay connected to the school and what do you gain from it?
Mainly through contact with other classmates, catching up on each other's news, and sharing memories of our time at RSM.
What is your greatest passion in life?
For many, many years my great passion was undoubtedly investing, although at the moment I would have to say that conveying the history of World War One - the theme of my new novel - overshadows it.
