Innovation is the relentless engine that drives progress. Organisations have come to understand that innovation is no longer just a source for added value, but the very basis for survival in complex and accelerated business landscapes. More recently, there is an increasing demand from organisations to tackle global challenges, such as poverty and climate change, and invent solutions that foster economic growth, social equity and environmental safety. Innovations are key to address these demands.

How can organisations design, develop and implement new ideas to meet societal and environmental needs and achieve competitive advantage at the same time? This masterclass will bring together business experience and academic research to provide an answer to this question.

In particular, Harald Tepper (Director Circular Economy/Group Sustainability, Philips) will share his vision and step-by-step business lessons on how Philips produces innovations that drive business growth and leave a positive impact on society. Selected students of Rotterdam School of Management will present their innovations tackling United Nations sustainability challenges. And finally, professor Rob van Tulder will present the state-of-science.

Prior to the masterclass you're invited to join us for a dinner in Maria's Cantina.
