Join us for the final Case Community seminar of the year!

Our last quarterly Brown Bag seminar of this academic year on Thursday 19 June is about creating memorable cases, hosted by the Case Development Centre (CDC) at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).

In this session, Dr Wim Hulsink and Dr Chintan Kella will share how they integrated case development into their courses by assigning students to create teaching cases. These cases were then used as material for classroom discussions and exercises, enriching both the learning experience and teaching practice. The seminar will last one hour, featuring a presentation of 30-40 minutes followed by 20-30 minutes of discussion.

Programme

The seminar will cover:

  • The benefits of involving students in developing their own cases and teaching notes
  • How to organise the process
  • Approaches to assessing student work
  • Challenges or pitfalls in this type of assignment
  • Potential uses of student cases
