This is a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow RSM alumni and students and discuss the latest developments in supply chain management.

Some say Supply Chain is simple. Well, or so they do until a pandemic strikes; or a vessel cripples the main shipping artery of the world; or an armed conflict renders the same artery useless; or the dynamics in trade tariffs change from head to toes; or … you name it.

These are the kind of events, which Nassim Nicholas Taleb called “Black Swans”. These events only seem to be predictable in the hindsight; nobody really knows when the next one is going to happen and how it is going to look like. So, you can’t predict the next disruption, hence you can’t prepare yourself and your supply chain; you can’t build in more resilience and robustness in it. Or can you?

We’ve asked three visionary leaders in the supply chain world to sit down with us and discuss what crucial skills are required to handle the next Supply Chain Black Swan Event just a little bit better than your competition: Robert Van der WaalTjarda Becker and Donald Baan. Sharing insights from different sectors and functions of Supply Chain, together they will paint a holistic picture. You will have a great opportunity to delve deep into the topic during the round-table discussions and the networking dinner.

Through this event we will launch the RSM Alumni in Supply Chain network. Are you interested in helping build this network? Fill in this interest form!
