Project Management in Practice 2

Project Management in Practice 2

Training in project management gives you lots of good ideas, new knowledge, and examples of good practice to apply in your day-to-day activities – whether you learned them from RSM’s Project Management in Practice 1 programme or somewhere else. But applying this in the workplace is different for everyone – it depends on your organisation’s environment and culture. You might find your good intentions eroded when they come up against your usual working routine and the day-to-day reality of meeting deadlines and targets in your organisation.

Address your challenges, learn new techniques and share experiences

This two-day programme provides the natural next step because it addresses the need for refocusing your capabilities. You will be encouraged to discuss and consider your experiences, and expand your peer network. You will explore enhanced skills and techniques that supplement project management skills taught in our Project Management in Practice 1 programme, or skills you may have learned elsewhere.

This programme also offers an optional module of four 90-minute personal coaching sessions with your teacher, who is an experienced project manager, over the following three-to-six months.

Upon successful completion of this programme you will receive a certificate from RSM recognised by the Project Management Institute, and 16 Professional Development Units (PDUs). These can be applied to obtaining the title of Project Management Professional (PMP®). To apply for certification you need an additional 12 PDUs (i.e. by online training) and proof of practical experience. Read the Project Management Institute webpages for more information.
