The Dutch Innovation Awards presents a new way for AVROTROS to highlight innovation in the Dutch economy and society, and is based on the Erasmus Competition and Innovation Monitor for 2017. Henk Volberda, who leads the monitor, states: "from large-scale survey research among companies in the Netherlands, various companies and regions emerged that distinguish themselves. One of the nice elements of this research is that a wide range of companies have a chance to be nominated". RSM's Frans van den Bosch also sits on the jury.
