On a theological college a synod should not have a say. The church should be at a greater distance. The conflict between the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board of the Theological University Kampen (ND February 25) indicates a flaw in the governance of the university. The national synod of the Reformed Churches liberated appoints the supervisory board; council appoints the Executive Board. This course is the competent authority.
