Share your valuable experience – become a student ambassador for RSM

Do you enjoy meeting new people and telling them about your student life? Are you willing to share information about your experience as a Master student this upcoming year?

If the answer is yes, then we are looking for you!

The RSM Recruitment & Admissions Office is looking for Master Ambassadors for the academic year 2019-2020. Please find some of the planned activities below. This can give you a better idea of the kind of ambassador-related activities and the time-commitments that they involve. If you apply to be an Ambassador, it is important that you will be available throughout the year for all the activities presented below:

  • A Master Ambassador photoshoot (early September 2019, exact date to be determined)
  • A Master Ambassador training session (early September 2019, exact date to be determined)
  • Master Graduation ceremony (6th October, 2019)
  • Fall Master Open Day (30th November, 2019 from 9:00-17:00)
  • Spring Master Open Day (24th March, 2019 from 16:00-21:30)
  • A minimum of 5 hours per month communicating on Facebook from September 2019 to October 2020 (from home)
  • Student for a Day and virtual information sessions from September 2019 to July 2020
  • “Call action” - buddy for accepted students: Approx. 6 hours per month from January 2020 to July 2020 (on campus & Skype)
  • Training sessions during the spring and fall semester – not reimbursed
  • Other recruitment activities such as newsletter articles (on request) 

* the hours that you work as an ambassador will have a symbolic compensation of approx.  €9,00 net per hour

 What are we looking for in an Ambassador?

  • You must be an enrolled RSM Master student on September 1st, 2019.
  • You are available for the entire academic year 2019-2020.
  • You are enthusiastic and have good social skills.
  • You are willing to communicate with prospective students via Facebook and Whatsapp. This means you may have to spend approximately 15 min a day on Facebook, even during a busy period. We will display your picture on the RSM Facebook page (please note: your email address will be shared with applicants who already received an “offer of admission” and your personal Facebook profile will be displayed on the Facebook page - see
  • You are not shy in approaching prospective students to offer them information at the open days.
  • You are responsible and reliable when you carry out your tasks.
  • You have no problem speaking to large groups of people and holding presentations.
  • You are willing to respond to short-notice requests about campus tours and school visits.
  • You respond quickly to e-mails and are well-organized.
  • You are willing to prioritize Ambassador work over other extracurricular activities/side-jobs that you undertake.
  • Since we need to arrange a contract for you, you must be in the possession of a Burgerservicenummer (BSN) for the entire year 2019-2020 (which means registering your address with the municipality) and you must acquire a Dutch basic health insurance which is required by Dutch law if you have a working contract. You have to make the arrangements for the insurance yourself.

Note: If you are joining the MSc International Management-CEMS programme, you can still apply for this position. For example if your exchange is in the fall, you can apply for the ambassador position for the spring semester.

In week 32 (5-9 August) and week 33 (12-16 August), you will be informed via e-mail whether you are invited for a 10-minute interview or not. The interviews will be scheduled in week 36 (2-6 September) outside of your lecture time, between 09:00-21:00. Please mark these dates in your agenda as soon as you apply.
