There’s continuity with a fresh energy for bachelor’s programmes at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) with two recent appointments. Dr Luuk Veelenturf is the new Academic Director – he previously served as associate academic director – and Sandra Langeveld has been appointed Associate Academic Director. They will take their positions on 1 July before the start of the refreshed BSc Bedrijfskunde and BSc International Business Administration (IBA) programmes in the next academic year, 2025-2026.

RSM’s two bachelor’s programmes are intended for slightly different groups of business-minded students. The Bedrijfskunde is for students – potentially with entrepreneurial ambitions – who wish to pursue a career in the Dutch business environment. The BSc IBA is for students who envision a business career in a multi-national company, ideally one based in the Netherlands.

Dr Veelenturf has been appointed Academic Director for the RSM’s two bachelor programmes, and replaces outgoing Academic Director Dr Jacomijn Klitsie. He said: “I'm truly excited to step into the role of Academic Director for our BSc programmes. Over the past year I've got to know many colleagues I hadn’t worked with before, each bringing fresh insights, passion and dedication. Their energy and commitment have inspired me and made the redesign process not just meaningful but also something I genuinely enjoyed.

“I’m proud of where we are, and even more excited about where we’re heading together.”

Sandra Langeveld takes on the role of Associate Academic Director, bringing her experience from other roles within RSM. She replaces Dr Luuk Veelenturf, who previously served as Associate Academic Director, and Dr Anne-Kathrin Klesse who served as Interim Associate Academic Director.

Sandra Langeveld said: “I’m eager to engage with students to better understand their motivations and how we can effectively connect with them. Working with our faculty members, I want to continuously improve the programmes so we can challenge ourselves and respond to external changes we’re facing.

“It feels like a natural next step in my career at RSM. Over the years, my roles within the school have given me a solid understanding of the programmes, the policies, and the people involved.”

RSM’s Dean of Education Dr Mirko Benischke said: "With a continued commitment to excellence, we’re evolving our programmes to empower students as future-ready professionals and responsible change-makers. I’m looking forward to working closely with the new academic leadership team as we take this next step together."
