When Jordy Kool (MBA 2004), former CEO of Infotheek, discovered that 400.000 children in The Netherlands cannot practice sports for financial reasons, he decided to use the money from a buy-out to help those children participate in sports again.
He founded IT4Kids, that collects used and written-off hardware from companies, refurbishes it and resells it. The value of this used hardware is donated to a network of charities working for children’s health. Kool credits his MBA at Rotterdam School of Management as the catalyst for initiating his awareness of his responsibility both as a leader in business and as a human being.
