For the first time, RSM alumni chapters from across the Americas have come together to create a shared event series for the entire regional community. They're calling it Horizons: The Americas Executive Series, and they're launching it with one of the most requested topics in the community: Becoming a Board Director.
On Tuesday, November 3rd, join alumni from across the continent for a 60-minute panel with three of the leading voices in board recruitment and corporate governance, followed by open alumni networking.
Your panelists:
- Dr. Deborah Rosati, Founder & CEO, Women Get on Board. A board director, entrepreneur, and advocate who has helped hundreds of executives secure board seats across Canada and beyond.
- Mark Rogers, Managing Director, Board Recruitment Practice, Robert Half. One of North America's most active board search practitioners, with direct insight into how companies find and evaluate director candidates.
- David W. Duffy, Co-founder & Chair, The Corporate Governance Institute. A governance authority whose work has shaped how boards are built, structured, and held accountable across industries.
The session will cover:
- What it means — and what it costs — to serve as a board director
- The skills and experiences boards are prioritizing right now
- How to build and position your board candidate profile
- What happens in a board interview, and how to prepare
