A quick overview of the process from reserving the tickets to scanning them at the venue doors.
Your graduate reserves guest tickets and lists you as the designated person to complete the payment.
You securely pay for the reserved tickets via iDeal, Credit Card, or bank transfer using the link provided.
During the week of the graduation, all digital tickets are emailed directly to your graduate.
Your graduate will share your unique ticket (QR code) with you prior to your arrival at the venue.
You are receiving this link because your graduate has reserved guest tickets for their upcoming ceremony and designated you to complete the payment. We organise this direct-to-guest payment to help make the process as stress-free as possible for our students. Graduation is a busy time, and allowing guests to handle their own ticket payments mostly removes the financial burden from the graduates so they can focus entirely on celebrating their achievements.
The cost of this ceremony has never been accounted for in the academic programme budget, and so rather than put further pressure on the cost of delivering the studies, it was decided to share some of the costs of the ceremony with graduates. In general, the school covers the venue hire, staff and other costs, while students must pay for their ceremonial attire if they choose to wear it, and guests are asked to pay to cover the costs of food and beverages.
RSM does not profit from the ceremony in any way – instead, costs are subsidised as much as possible to allow the ceremony to happen without affecting teaching.
To ensure all tickets are kept safely together, all digital guest tickets are emailed directly to the graduating student during the week of the ceremony. Your graduate will be responsible for sending you your individual QR code ticket before you arrive at the venue.
No, printing is not required! You can simply have the digital ticket (QR code) open on your smartphone when you arrive at the venue. Please ensure you have your own unique ticket ready to scan.
We accept payments via iDeal, Wero, and major credit cards through the secure payment link. If you are unable to use these methods, you can also complete the payment via a standard bank transfer using the details provided in the invoice attached to your email.
Guest tickets are generally non-refundable. The only exception is if the student is unfortunately unable to graduate due to academic requirements not being met, in which case all tickets and attire fees are automatically refunded within 5 working days.
Guest tickets can be transferred between guests of the same graduate party. They are not transferable to guests of other graduates.
We recommend business casual or celebratory attire. This is a special milestone, and we invite you to dress comfortably but smartly for the occasion and the photos.
While graduation is a celebratory family event, we do not consider it particularly child-friendly due to the ceremonies requiring guests to remain seated for up to two hours at a time in some cases. That being said, children are still welcome to attend. If children do come, those age 2 and under do not need their own ticket for the ceremony as they are expected to sit on an adult’s lap. All children age 3 and over will need their own guest ticket. Children under the age of 18 should not be left unaccompanied at any point whilst in the venue.
If you still have a question about the graduation ceremony, we are happy to help.
Just email us at msc.graduation@rsm.nl with your question.
Please note, that as we get closer to the ceremony we are asked a lot of questions. We recommend that you send your email as soon as possible in order for us to answer it in good time before the ceremony.
