For students living far from home, a single unexpected event can quickly spiral into a serious crisis. A war in their home country, a sudden illness, or the loss of financial support can leave them facing tough choices: how to afford food, transport, or even a safe place to live. All while trying to continue their education.
The EUR Emergency Fund was created to offer swift and compassionate support in these moments. It provides one-off financial relief to enrolled students who are facing acute financial difficulty through no fault of their own. The goal is to help them regain stability, cover essential living expenses, and continue their studies with dignity and peace of mind.
We believe that no student should be left behind because of circumstances they could not predict or prevent. The Emergency Fund stands as a safety net, funded by our community, for our community to ensure that when life changes suddenly, support is close at hand.
The EUR Emergency Fund offers a one-off payment of approximately €500 to enrolled students experiencing urgent financial need due to special, unforeseen and short-term circumstances.
The financial assistance is intended to cover essential living expenses such as groceries, transport within the Netherlands or medication. It is not intended for structural costs like tuition fees or study materials.
Applicants are supported by EUR’s student deans, who assess each request and make recommendations. In some cases, conditions for repayment may be set. The goal is always the same: to offer immediate relief and help students get back on their feet.
Traditional education offers knowledge. But real growth often comes when students are challenged to act. Your donation directly supports RSM students who want to do just that: take initiative, collaborate, and create meaningful change.
With your help, we can fund more projects, reach more communities, and prepare more young changemakers to tackle the world's most pressing challenges. Whether you’re an alumnus, a friend of RSM, or a corporate partner, your contribution becomes part of a powerful chain reaction. One that starts with a single student and grows into something far greater.
