The master thesis is Part IV and the final step of the Part-time Executive Master in Corporate Communication at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). It brings together the knowledge, frameworks and strategic perspective developed throughout MCC.
Through your thesis, you investigate a relevant corporate communication, reputation, stakeholder or organisational challenge. You deepen your understanding of research methods and learn how to translate evidence into practical recommendations for your organisation, sector or professional field.
Many MCC participants choose a research topic connected to their own organisation or industry. This allows them to explore a real strategic issue in depth and develop insights that can be used in practice.
The thesis helps you strengthen your ability to define a clear problem, analyse evidence and translate your findings into advice for leaders and decision-makers. By the end of the process, you will have developed specialist expertise in a topic that matters to your professional context.
Yearly we kick off the thesis trajectory in January. Are you ready to finish your the Master programme? Download and read the thesis manual for more information or contact our programme management.
Take a look at recent research topics from MCC participants and read the executive summaries of their research.

What I truly like is the relevance of my thesis for the organisation. I took it back to the organisation to share my recommendations and of course do my utmost to implement the recommendations done. That's going to be my work for the coming years.
