The Power of Presence
The Power of Presence
This unique two-day programme, developed by RSM Executive Education, increases your awareness of your non-verbal self-presentation, and teach you how to use your strong features, allowing your communication and interaction with others to have more impact.
You might have great ideas, perspectives and methods. But you might lose your effectiveness if you don’t know how you come across, and if you don’t represent your message with intention. As a matter of fact, 70 to 90 per cent of our communication is non-verbal – embodied by the tone of our voice and our body language. The Power of Presence is taught by an academic researcher and experienced executive presence coaches
During The Power of Presence, you will boost your non-verbal communication skills, including body language, and presenting with self-confidence. Combine this awareness with practice to become a more effective leader, while you explore active and effective ways of communicating and expressing who you are, and what message you want to convey. Your presence and your behavioural flexibility will grow dramatically.
By participating in this programme, you will:
- increase your self-awareness and self-confidence
- develop powerful presence
- learn how to inspire those around you
- discover how to lead effectively under pressure
- strengthen your non-verbal communication skills
- connect with others and build trust more quickly.
All three faculty members are teaching, observing and giving you individual feedback throughout the programme. They support and challenge you and take into account the learning goals you provided.
The Power of Presence is for anyone who wants to align their body language and voice with the message they wish to convey. Especially people with a management, consulting or sales position will boost their non-verbal communication skills through this programme.
If you are a (recently appointed) senior manager who is seeking more influence, needs to develop more impactful messages or wants to be influential and powerful through skilful communication we suggest you take a look at our three-day Persuasive Leadership programme.
“I discovered that very few people are aware of their non-verbal communication; quite strange as the majority of communication is non-verbal. I certainly became aware of my own preferences, and learned and practised techniques which will help support my spoken messages, help me avoid misunderstandings, and be more effective in stressful situations. RSM’s The Power of Presence programme combined academic theory and practical exercises in a surprisingly effective way, and I’m really using what I learned, almost every day.”
Magdalena Zawiasa, general manager, Mundipharma DC B.V.
"An exciting way of acquiring a toolbox for aligning posture and voice to enhance a delivered message. During the course one has plenty of opportunities to practise and become aware of all the elements in the toolbox. Further material is provided to support you in daily training of all aspects of the course. Mastering all elements is not an easy deal, but this course definitely puts you on the right track to accomplish it"
Dr Jesus Roldan, team manager Telecoms department, European Patent Office
