For the sixth year in succession, the Econometric Institute, Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), and the Erasmus Financial Markets Centre (EFMC) at Erasmus University jointly organize a two-day conference with the principal objective of presenting and discussing recent advances in academic research on market liquidity.
Novel in this year's edition of the conference is the Panel Discussion on High-Frequency Trading (featuring regulators, academics, and market operators / participants) to discuss the impact of high-frequency trading on market liquidity/stability.

Registration
To register for this conference, please fill out the registration form which can be downloaded here and send it by e-mail to liquidity@rsm.nl. The registration fee is EUR 300 for the entire conference and EUR 250 for the HFT regulation event only, and includes lunch, coffee/tea, and refreshments for participants of the whole conference and drinks for the participants of the regulatory event. For CFA charter holders fees are reduced by EUR 50 (please indicate this on the registration form). For academics, the registration is free. The number of seats for this conference is limited to 86 for the main conference and 136 for the HFT regulation event. Registrations are handled on a first-come first-serve basis and the registration fee can only be paid by credit card. Please do not hesitate to contact us at liquidity@rsm.nl should you prefer to pay by bank transfer instead of using a credit card.

Three leading Dutch universities – Erasmus University Rotterdam, Tilburg University, and the University of Amsterdam – jointly organize in collaboration with the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) an annual conference series on the Political Economy of Finance. The objective is to promote research on this highly topical area, usually treated separately in economics and finance, and build a European platform for researchers active in his area.
Each edition of the conference series is dedicated to a specific theme within this area. For instance, for the first edition, the conference aims at exploring the intersections between political economy and central banking.
This one-day conference host a limited number of paper presentations with designated discussants and ample opportunity for discussion and interaction.
Thomas Lambert (Rotterdam), Enrico Perotti (Amsterdam), and Magdalena Rola-Janicka (Tilburg) are at the origin of this initiative.

Overview
The conference will bring together researchers to facilitate the discussion and development of new ideas in corporate finance in a stimulating and relaxing environment. The conference is an initiative of the Benelux Corporate Finance Network. The academic program will consist of regular sessions (with discussants) and rapid-fire sessions (without discussants). The conference will also feature two keynote lectures.
