The third annual Alumni Career Days at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) brought together over 250 participants – including alumni across all career stages and current students – for a rich programme of career development and connection. The hybrid event featured five online masterclasses throughout late May and early June, culminating in a high-energy in-person Campus Day on 13 June 2025.

The event offered participants access to expert-led sessions designed to tackle the evolving demands of the modern workplace. With themes ranging from enhancing virtual presence and inclusive leadership to developing a financial impact mindset, attendees left with actionable strategies to accelerate their personal and professional development.

Tailored tracks

The 2025 edition marked the event’s highest engagement to date, with more than 250 participants joining from around the globe. Almost 100 alumni and students attended the campus day in Rotterdam in person.

A major milestone for this year was the introduction of three tailored tracks for participants on campus, which catered to early-career professionals, more experienced alumni, and entrepreneurial minds. This allowed attendees to dive into content most relevant to their career journeys, while benefiting from the cross-generational exchange of ideas that characterises the RSM alumni community.

The event was equally focused on community-building, with dedicated sessions to enhance the RSM mentoring experience. For the first time, mentors in RSM’s alumni-student mentoring programme were offered a specialised session to strengthen their impact and support capabilities.

The RSM Career Centres also spearheaded a recruiters’ roundtable during Campus Day, introducing valuable industry perspectives and encouraging dialogue on hiring trends, skills gaps, and leadership potential. RSM’s career coaches offered one-on-one career coaching sessions online to alumni as well.

Purpose-driven, practical, and personal

The five online masterclasses – held between 20 May and 10 June – provided a strong foundation for reflection and growth. Topics included career sponsorship, personal branding, and inclusive leadership, giving alumni the tools to steer their careers with clarity and purpose.

“This year’s Alumni Career Days showed how powerful the RSM network can be when it comes together to share knowledge and uplift one another,” said Bruno Hasa, Alumni Relations Manager at RSM. “We’re especially proud of the increased participation and the new track-based format, which made the experience even more relevant and personalised for our alumni.”

The RSM Alumni Career Days were organised by RSM’s Alumni Relations Office in close collaboration with the RSM Career Centres and Erasmus Enterprise.
