The recipients of this years' Distinguished Alumni Awards have gone above and beyond by contributing to the RSM community, the enviornment, businesses, and society. They are committed to making a positive impact and embody RSM's mission of being a force for positive change. Three categories of awards were recognised this year: for being a force for positive change, for achievement, and for volunteering.

Distinguished Alumni Awards 2023 recipients

Micky Chen (Alumni Achievement Award Recipient 2023)

Her dedication to student success extends beyond the platform. Micky generously gives back by providing free personal and professional development workshops to students, continuously delivering inspiring guest lectures at RSM, and mentoring young students. She also speaks at IBA Open Days and established the Minite office on the EUR campus. She has become a role model for young students, paving the way for a more diverse entrepreneurial landscape.

Louise Oprel (Alumni Volunteer Award Recipient 2023)

Louise says that knowledge sharing is key for us to evolve. “Together, we can achieve so much more. I want to inspire others to become the best versions of themselves, to make them feel heard and connected, and to empower collective thinking. Then we can create a ripple effect of positive impact on people and society as a whole.”

Mark Kychma (Alumni Force for Positive Change Award Recipient 2023)

His nominators said Mark is a role model for helping others in the face of fear and oppression. He doesn’t take credit for his actions, and still sends happy birthday message to everyone he knows. His adventurous, compassionate and fearless character make a positive impact, wherever Mark goes.
