Alumni Volunteering Award Recipient 2025

When Aditya Sharma was a student, he felt overwhelmed by the thought of making a career plan and preparing for interviews. The RSM alumni community helped him to make sense of things via MentorMe, LinkedIn and RSM Career Services. Now, Aditya is a Global Data Foods Analyst for Unilever and an enthusiastic mentor for RSM students, with 118 career consultations under his belt – more than any other alumni volunteer. He has been nominated by the RSM Alumni Relations Team as ‘a great and engaged alumni mentor’.
Remembering that feeling of being overwhelmed made him realise the power of others sharing their stories or just listening, which inspired him to give back as a mentor and supporter of new graduates and current students. “I try to help build the same kind of open and supportive community that helped me. I’ve seen how even a quick chat or small bit of advice can make a real difference in someone’s path.
“Hearing they've secured a job, gained clarity in their career direction, or simply feel more confident means the world to me. Knowing that my conversation or support had a positive impact on someone’s journey is incredibly fulfilling, and it reminds me why I continue to give back.
“Academically, RSM equipped me with a solid foundation in business and critical thinking, but more importantly, it pushed me to explore who I am and what kind of impact I want to make. It’s a place that helped me grow, not just in terms of skills, but also in self-awareness and direction.”
