Diplomas & Transcripts

A certified copy of your diploma and transcript can be acquired at the institution where you obtained the diploma or at a notary. Certified means that the photocopy of the original diploma/transcript, needs to be stamped and signed by your institution (director, course coordinator, registrar) or notary. When making your offer unconditional, make sure you send us the original document or certified hard copy. Photocopies and scans will not be accepted because their authenticity cannot be verified.

If you have not received your high school diploma at the time of application, you must submit a 'diploma statement'. The purpose of this statement is to clarify which grading system your school uses in order to correctly calculate your GPA. This statement must be filled in by your school counselor or school representative.

On our website you can find an overview the requirements for of a large number of diplomas. Diplomas not listed on our website will be evaluated on an individual basis as they may need to be examined more closely. When submitting an application, you must include in your application package an academic transcript with a diploma supplement explaining your country's grading system. It is not possible to pre-screen your application by phone or e-mail. A proper admissions decision can only be made after you’ve submitted an application. Please note that all admissions related information for the September 2022 intake will be updated by end September. We therefore recommend that you consult our website again before applying.

The RSM Admissions Office is aware that due to COVID-19 you may not be able to take your final exams normally or obtain your high school diploma on time. We will monitor the situation in different countries and inform you of any changes in our policies so there is no need for you to contact us about this. We advise you to go ahead and accept your offer of admission and continue to prepare for the start of the academic year. If on July 1st it seems that you will not be able to provide us the required proof of completion of your secondary education by the 1st of August, then you can let us know.

Your documents have most likely reached our office if you have sent them by post. The RSM Admissions Team will only start processing these documents once all (master) applications have been evaluated and all results have been sent. Usually this is around the end of June / early July.

Once your documents have been processed, you will be notified via the Online Application Form (OLAF) that your offer has been made unconditional. Take into account that we are receiving a lot of diplomas in July and August so allow at least 1-2 weeks for your documents to be processed. Please be patient!

A conditional offer of admission means that you still need to do something before you will be allowed to start your studies at RSM. For the vast majority of our applicants, this means that you need to bring or send either certified hard copies or originals of your diploma(s) and final academic transcript. Once all of the conditions in your offer of admission have been met, your offer will become unconditional and you may officially enroll in the programme.

Many of our applicants ask why we require certified hard copies or originals of their diploma(s) and academic transcripts when we already have digital copies. RSM requires official hard copies because digital documents are easier to forge and are therefore not legal documents.
