You've been selected in the BScIBA programme at RSM!

Step 1: accept your offer

Congratulations!

You have been selected to participate in the BScIBA programme at RSM starting in September 2023. What happens next? You must confirm your place at RSM. Here’s how.

You will receive two emails from Studielink.

  1. A message telling you your rank
  2. A request to accept or decline your offer of admission. You must respond to this offer of admission within two weeks. If you fail to do so before the deadline, your offer will be revoked and given to the next person on the waiting list. This is an automatic process and cannot be stopped!

Please follow these instructions carefully.

Step 1. Accept your offer in Studielink

Step 2. Log into RSM’s Online Application Form (OLAF) and download your admissions statement. After you have done so you will receive practical information about housing and applying for visas.

IMPORTANT: As soon as you accept your offer in Studielink, your place at RSM’s BSc IBA programme is reserved for you.

If you later decide not to come, it is important that you decline the offer via Studielink as soon as possible so your place can go to someone else. If you don’t want your place at RSM, please don’t prevent another student from coming.

Use the contact form to send us a message.

Step 2: make your offer unconditional

While your application can be evaluated based on unofficial digital documents, eventually the RSM needs to check the authenticity of your diploma and your final transcript. This is called making your offer unconditional.

This, and any other conditions, are listed in your admissions statement. The certified copies of your diploma and final grade list need to be sent to RSM by 1 August.

Below you can find the detailed instructions as well as specific information for some diplomas:

Generally, the diploma and final transcript (grade list) will suffice to make your offer unconditional.

  • Diploma: In order to verify that you have completed your secondary school programme your admission is based on, RSM needs to see your final diploma.
  • Transcript: In order to check that your grades and the subjects you have submitted during the application process are true, RSM also needs your final transcript* (i.e. grade list).
  • National entrance exam/state exam: For some diplomas a national entrance exam or state exam may be part of the official diploma. In that case you must also provide a certified hardcopy of the exam results/certificate (in the original language and a translation).
  • Translation: If the original documents are written in a language other than English, French, German or Dutch you must provide an official translation by a registered sworn translator in one of these languages. Make sure to always include your diploma and/or transcript(s) in the original language along with the translation!
If your school issues the diploma in the original language and in English, you need to send both diplomas.

You must provide either original or certified hardcopies (paper documents) of your secondary school diploma and final transcript (grade list).

*Will your school only send your final transcript after the 1 August deadline? Then please let us know if this is the case via the contact form.

A certified hardcopy (a paper document) of your diploma and final transcript can be acquired at the institution where you obtained them or they can be provided by an official notary.

  • Certified means that a photocopy of the original diploma/transcript is stamped and signed by your institution (director, course coordinator, registrar) or the official notary.
  • Make sure you don't copy the certified documents again, but send us the original certified documents. Photocopies of a certified documents will not be accepted.
  • Photocopies and scans will not be accepted because their authenticity cannot be verified.

  • By e-mail: RSM accepts digital documents if they are sent by your school representative from an official school email address directly to the RSM Admissions Office (bsciba@rsm.nl). Request your school to send your diploma and your final grade list as well as translations (if applicable). For some diplomas additional documents (national entrance exam/state exam) are required. All documents must bear a 'fresh' stamp and signature from your school representative! The documents are not accepted if they come from your e-mail address.

  • Online verification: In some cases the RSM Admissions Office can check the authenticity of your diploma from an online database and it is therefore not necessary to send the documents by e-mail. This applies, for instance, to the Dutch VWO diploma and International Baccalaureate. Please consult the specific instructions per diploma. If your school uses an online verification system, please notify the admissions office. RSM is not able to verify documents online if it's required that software is downloaded before the verification.

  • I want to bring my documents to the RSM Admissions Office in person: if it is not possible to have your school send your documents by e-mail, you can bring the original or certified documents to the RSM Admissions Office in person. Our office is located at the Woudestein Campus, on the 5th floor of the Mandeville builiding, room T5-01. We advise you to check out the opening hours listed on our contact pages beforehand.

  • By post
Only if it is not possible to have your documents sent by e-mail, you can send your documents by post to the following address before 1 August.

Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University
    RSM IBA Admissions Office
    Burgemeester Oudlaan 50
    Mandeville Building, Room T5-01
    3062 PA Rotterdam
    The Netherlands

Disclaimer: Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University cannot be held responsible for the loss of any documentation during transport or while in storage. Therefore we advise you to send the documents as a tracked delivery and to always send certified copies instead of the original diplomas. Some courier services also require a telephone number. In this case please use the general phone number of RSM: +31 10 408 2222.

The documents will first be received by the central post room, and will be delivered to the admissions office within 2-3 days.

The verification of the diplomas usually starts around end of June. You will be notified via the Online Application Form once your admissions has been made unconditional. Please keep in mind that we need to check hundreds of diplomas so please be patient and allow approximately 10-14 days for the documents to be processed. You do not need an unconditional offer in order to start the housing or visa process.

Currently your enrolment status in Studielink states: "The educational institution has yet to determine whether your previous education level is sufficient”. Once your offer has been made unconditional, the RSM Admissions Office will confirm your enrolment in Studielink & Osiris. This is usually done later in the summer (in the course of July/August) and in bulk (instead of enrolling each student individually).

To complete your enrolment, also check that before the 31st of August you have paid the tuition fee & uploaded a photo for your Student ID in Osiris.

RSM will save your diploma for one year. It is your responsibility to pick up these documents from the admissions office, if you want them back. You can pick up your diploma as from October onwards. The admissions office makes scanned copies of all documents for our digital archive and shreds all paper copies that have not been picked up on time.

Here you can find specific information about what documents you need to provide per diploma type.

As VWO diploma holder from the Netherlands, your grades will be verified electronically (via Studielink). You do not need to send your diploma to RSM.

Holders of a VWO diploma obtained outside the Netherlands (Curacao, Aruba, Sint Maarten) must request their school to send certified copies of their diploma and final transcript directly by e-mail to the RSM IBA Admissions Office.

A certified copy of your HBO propedeuse and final transcript is required. If your propedeuse is issued after 1 August, you must present an official statement and transcript from your university of applied sciences. This document should include your expected graduation date and clearly state that you have completed your first year and obtained a minimum of 60 credits.

Certified copy of your High school diploma and final transcript as well as your official College Board AP score report (signed & stamped by your school)

A certified copy of the diploma and final year transcript are required.

Since the GCE results are only available around mid-August, the (provisional) statement of results can be sent after 1 August but must be received by RSM by 25th August

  • Only the (provisional) GCE results issued by the official awarding bodies (exam boards: Cambridge, AQA, OCR, Pearson, Edexel) are accepted. GCE results issued on the school's letterhead are not accepted.

Request the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to electronically send your transcripts to Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). To grant RSM access to your results online, provide IBO with the institute code of Rotterdam School of Management: 034892. Please avoid using the institute code for Erasmus University. If you have mistakenly used Erasmus University's institute code, your diploma will be sent to the central Admissions Office of Erasmus University. In this case, please notify us, but expect a delay in processing your diploma.

Alternatively, your school can send a printout of your IB exam results, obtained from the IBO website, directly to RSM Admissions Office. This printout must bear an official signature and school stamp. Note that IB results printed on the school's letterhead are not accepted.

All documents must be provided in the original language and with an English translation

Step 3: pay the tuition fee

The 2024/2025 tuition fee for the BSc in International Business Administration programme is approximately €11,600. The Dutch government contributes towards this cost for students who hold nationality from a country belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA). These students therefore pay only the statutory fee of €2,530 per year for 2024/2025.

In order to start your studies in September, you must arrange the tuition fee payment by 31 August. First you need to indicate your preferred payment method in Studielink:

  • Payment by digital authorisation via a bank account from a country in the SEPA area via Studielink *
  • Payment by bank
  • Payment of tuition fees by another person/institution
  • Payment by Proof of Payment of Tuition Fee” (“Bewijs van Betaald Collegegeld”)
  • Payment at Erasmus Student Service Centre

For more information about the payment methods and tuition fee related matters, please visit the website of the Erasmus Student Service Centre (ESSC)

*If you choose the digital authorisation option, you need to complete the authorisation by the 31st of August, but the money will be withdrawn from your account once the academic year has started.

After this you can make the payment. If you have a question about your payment, contact the Erasmus Student Service Centre (ESSC)

A different payment procedure applies for NON-EU/EEA students applying for a VISA/ residence permit. You will be informed about the payment process as well as the immigration process by RSM from March onwards.
