Associate professor Inga Hoever has been appointed as dean of research for Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). She officially began the role on 15 March 2024.

As the new dean of research, Dr Hoever will contribute to continuously building and strengthening a thriving research community at RSM. In addition to her role as dean of research, she also serves as the scientific director for the  Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM), a joint research institute of RSM and the Erasmus School of Economics, which serves as one of the top management research centres in Europe.

Building on her efforts, Dr Hoever aims to strongly embed the shared values held in the school’s core policies and practices into research and to invest in building a stronger research community by enabling more exchange around research methods, topics, findings and shared research infrastructure.

“RSM and ERIM are research environments that have been extremely successful in promoting excellent and increasingly also impactful research. I think we all have seen that important steps have been taken, and are continuously taken, to ensure greater adoption of open and responsible science practices as well as to exploring which of our practices and systems are equitable and inclusive.”

“I hope to build on these efforts and continue to strengthen a thriving research community that promotes high-quality, impactful research in a way that is collaborative, open and responsible, and inclusive. I aim to do so in way that allows us to embed our shared values into our core policies and practices and enables more exchange around not just research methods, topics, or findings, but also research-related roles and responsibilities.”
