Dr Julija Mell from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) received a fellowship from the Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI) at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) for her innovative project which helps students develop a clear vision of their future work selves.

Students need to develop self-regulation skills during their studies, such as being able to set goals, maintain motivation, and change direction if necessary. An important foundation for this is a clear vision of who they want to be in their future – their future work self. This CLI Fellowship develops an evidence-based workshop intervention to help students develop their vision of their future work self.

A CLI Fellowship is for lecturers from Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) to develop and implement ideas to innovate or improve education. With the Fellowship, researchers can spend 0.2 FTE every week on an educational project and researching its impact or effect as well. On Dr Mell’s project team are fellow researchers Dr Jorrit Alkema (RSM), Dr Maciej Szymanowski (RSM), Dr Karoline Strauss (ESSEC Business School) and Professor Frederik Anseel (University of New South Wales).
