Your expert faculty

Prof. Ting Li

Ting Li is a Professor of Digital Business and the Head of the Information Systems group at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University in the Netherlands. She is a founding member and the Academic Director of Digital Business at the Erasmus Centre for Data Analytics. Additionally, she leads the new Immersive Tech and AI Lab, focusing on cutting-edge developments in immersive technologies and AI. Ting's research interests center on understanding the strategic use of digital technology and AI, and its economic impacts on consumer behaviour and firm strategy. Ting Li has published her interdisciplinary work in leading scientific journals, and her work has earned numerous best paper awards and nominations. As an educator, Ting teaches across various MBA, Executive MBA, and executive education programs, where she engages with global leaders on topics of digital transformation, AI, and data analytics. In 2017, she was recognized as one of the Top 40 Professors Under 40 Worldwide by Poets & Quants, a prestigious accolade in the academic community. Before joining academia, Ting held positions at General Electric and IBM. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from Erasmus University.

Philipp Cornelius

Philipp Cornelius is an associate professor at RSM. His research sits at the intersection of operations and innovation management, with a focus on how organisations can consistently deliver successful innovation projects. He studies the strategic and operational choices that enable companies to turn promising ideas into commercially successful products and services. In this context, his work examines how emerging technologies such as digital platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) are reshaping the way firms innovate. Drawing on large-scale empirical research using proprietary organisational data, platform data, and experiments, he generates evidence-based insights that are directly relevant to senior executives leading innovation and transformation efforts. He holds a PhD in management science and innovation from the UCL School of Management, University College London, and a BSc in information systems from the University of Mannheim, Germany. 

Prof. Eric van Heck

Eric van Heck is a chaired Professor of Information Management and Markets, Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University. His research focuses on harnessing technology for digital and circular business transformations, integrating insights from economics, management science, information systems, and computer science. Key areas of expertise include AI, data analytics, digital ecosystems, and auction markets. Eric van Heck has co-founded pivotal centers at Erasmus, including the Erasmus Center for Data Analytics (ECDA) and the Erasmus Center for Future Energy Business and at RSM the master programs Business Information Management (BIM) and Business Analytics and Management (BAM). His research has been published in leading journals such as Information Systems Research, Management Science, and MIS Quarterly, and in business-oriented journals such as California Management Review, Harvard Business Review, and MISQ Executive. 
 

Dr Ferdinand Jaspers

Ferdinand Jaspers is programme director at the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship. His teaching and consultancy activities focus on innovation leadership. Based on his expertise at the intersection of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, he teaches courses, masterclasses and boot camps on corporate entrepreneurship, innovation excellence and entrepreneurial culture. With a rigorous academic perspective, Ferdinand helps entrepreneurs move beyond approaches such as lean start-up, design thinking, business modelling and effectuation. Together with experts from DSM and ING, Ferdinand founded the ECE Innovation Leadership executive programme. He holds a PhD from RSM.
