Netherlands: HBO Propedeutics (University of Applied Sciences)/HBO First Year Diploma

General requirements

Applicants with a Dutch HAVO diploma:

 
  • Mathematics minimum (unrounded) grade of 7.0 HAVO wiskunde A /  minimum (unrounded) grade of 6.0 HAVO wiskunde B AND 
  • IBA mathematics exam OR VWO certificate wiskunde A with minimum unrounded grade of 7.0 / VWO certificate wiskunde B with a minimum unrounded grade of 6.0
  • English language test OR VWO certificate in English with a minimum unrounded grade of 7.0 OR IB English A HL certificate minimum grade 4 / IB English A SL Certificate minimum grade 5 AND
  • Minimum GPA of 7.5 in the first year of your HBO studies
  • Applicants who do not meet these (grade) requirements will be placed in the lower tiers of the ranking


Applicants with a non-Dutch secondary school diploma

 
  • Mathematics see the requirement for your secondary school diploma. For some diplomas RSM may require you to take the IBA mathematics exam AND
  • English see the requirement for your secondary school diploma. For some diplomas RSM may require you to take an English language test. Exemption for IB English A HL certificate minimum grade 4/ IB English A SL Certificate minimum grade 5 AND
  • Minimum GPA of 7.5 in the first year of your HBO studies
  • Applicants who do not meet these (grade) requirements will be placed in the lower tiers of the ranking

  • Mathematics minimum (unrounded=onafgerond) grade of 7.0 for mathematics A or minimum (unrounded=onafgerond) grade of 6.0 for mathematics B 
  • Applicants who do not meet the mathematics requirement may choose to take the IBA mathematics exam.
  • English minimum (unrounded=onafgerond) grade of 7.0 or IB English International Baccalaureate (IB) English A Higher Level certificate minimum grade 4 or IB English A Standard Level Certificate minimum grade 5. Applicants who do not meet the English language requirement may choose to take the English language test.
  • Applicants who do not meet these requirements will be placed in the lower tiers of the ranking
