Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations

The drive, goal orientation, and intelligence of women are undeniable. Their continued early exit from organisations represents a significant loss of intellectual capital, social capital, diversity of thought, and diversity of approach that is costly for organisations as well as for society at large. To the extent that a woman's decision to exit organisational life is determined by intended and untended bias, the loss is also personal.

The global challenges facing us require that all who have the necessary talent and aspiration are equally able to reach the highest levels of organisations. The Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations (ECWO) will serve as a hub for debate, education, research, and action on gender related issues. Women’s current and potential contributions will be celebrated and encouraged. The Centre will serve as a platform where talented women will be put in the spotlight, and where organisations will be encouraged and motivated to achieve gender-balanced leadership.
