Admissions Requirements per Diploma

Diploma name

• New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) at level 3 ​

General requirements

• a total of 80 credits including 60 credits on level 3 and 20 credits on level 2; with at least 3 general/academic ´approved´ NCEA subjects Achieved with Merit (M)

• Applied/Practical subjects are not accepted 

Mathematics requirement

• You must take a mathematics exam

English langauge requirement

• You are exempt from the English language test if you have followed your entire secondary school in New Zealand and the language of instruction is English.  

• If you do not meet this requirement, you must take an English language test. 

Selection points

• You will be granted selection points if you have a Grade Average of M (Merit) or higher. If your grades are below this, you will not earn selection points for your final ranking. 

For applicants in the final year of high school: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades of your penultimate year (the year before your final year). 

For graduated applicants: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades achieved during your final year and/or exams 

Additional requirements

• You must include the RSM diploma statement in your application. This statement must be filled in by your school counselor or school representative. If you have already graduated at the time of applying, the statement is not required.

• Graduated applicants must provide NCEA Level 3 and their Record of Achievement stating their University Entrance (UE)

General requirements

• General Studies Specialisation – mentioning og har oppnådd generell studiekompetanse 

Mathematics requirement

• Mathematics S1+S2 with minimum grade of 4 OR Mathematics R1 with minimum grade of 3

• If you do not meet this requirement, you must take a mathematics exam. 

English language requirement 

• Minimum grade of 4 (taken up to and including the 2nd or 3rd year) 

• If you do not meet this requirement, you must take an English language test. 

Selection points

• You will be granted selection points if you have a Grade Average of 4 or higher. If your grades are below this, you will not earn selection points for your final ranking. 

For applicants in the final year of high school: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades of your penultimate year (the year before your final year). 

For graduated applicants:

Diploma name

• Diplomas not listed on the website will be evaluated on an individual basis. Admissibility can only be determined after you have submitted a complete application. Applicants are recommended to provide their diploma (if available), academic transcripts with a diploma supplement explaining your country's grading system. In most cases the following additional exams are required:

• mathematics exam
• English language test

Fulfilling the additional exam requirements doesn't automatically guarantee you a spot, as this also relies on your diploma level and the quality of other applicants. A highly competitive pool of applicants might reduce your chances of being selected.

For applicants in the final year of high school:  

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades of your penultimate year (the year before your final year).  

For graduated applicants:  

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the average of both your final school year results and national exams grades.

• Certificado Oficial de Estudios de Nivel Educación Secundaria (general stream )

Mathematics Requirement

• You must take a mathematics exam. 

English language requirement

• You must take an English language test. 

Selection points 

• You will be granted selection points if you have a Grade Average of 17 or higher. If your grades are below this, you will not earn selection points for your final ranking. 

For applicants in the final year of high school: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades of your penultimate year (the year before your final year). 

For graduated applicants: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades achieved during your final year. 

 Additional requirements 

• If you have or obtain both the Certificado Oficial de Estudios and the International Baccalaureate (IB), your application will be assessed based on the IB requirements. If your IB exams take place in November, you must provide these results, which are typically released in January, by 31 January. These results will be used for the evaluation. 

• You must include the RSM diploma statement in your application. This statement must be filled in by your school counselor or school representative. If you have already graduated at the time of applying, the statement is not required.

• Swiadectwo Dojrzalosci Liceum Ogolnoksztalcacego (General Lyceum) and Świadectwo Dojrzałości (Maturity Certificate)

General requirements

• ony accepted general secondary education at a Liceum Ogólnokształcące (General Lyceum) and in combination with Swiadectwo Dojrzalosci (Maturity Certificate), awarded by the Okręgowa Komisja  Egzaminacyjna (Regional Examination Board)

Mathematics requirement

• Mathematics Advanced/Extended level with a minimum grade of 4 (dobry) taken up until the final year and as part of your final exam. 

• If you do not meet this requirement, you must take a mathematics exam. 

English language requirement

• You must take an English language test. 

Selection points

• You will be granted selection points if you have a Grade Average of 4 (dobry) or higher. If your grades are below this, you will not earn selection points for your final ranking. 

For applicants in the final year of high school: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades of your penultimate year (the year before your final year). 

For graduated applicants: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades achieved during your final year and the Matura exam grades. 

Additional requirements

• Graduated applicants must provide the Świadectwo Ukończenia Liceum Ogólnokształcącego (secondary school diploma), Wyniki Klasyfikacji Końcowe (final year transcript) and Świadectwo Dojrzałości (Maturity Certificate)

General requirements

• At least 6 subjects with  2 Advanced Highers (A B) and 4 Highers (A A B B)  in academic subjects

Mathematics requirement 

• Minimum grade of B for Mathematics Advanced Higher  

• If you do not meet this requirement, you must take a mathematics exam. 

English language requirement

• Your entire education is taught in English  

• If you do not meet this requirement, you must take an English language test.

General requirements

• with the mention that the student has met the minimum requirements for admission to bachelor’s degree programmes

• minimum 7 subjects (at least 70%) in the following accepted subjects: Economics, Geography, History, Home Language, First Additional Language, Second Official Language, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, Religion Studies  

Mathematics requirement

• You must take a mathematics exam 

English language requirement

• Your education must be entirely taught in English (English as `home language`) 

• If your education is not entirely taught in English, you must take an English language test. 

Selection points 

• You will be granted selection points if you have a Grade Average of 70% or higher. If your grades are below this, you will not earn selection points for your final ranking. 

For applicants in the final year of high school: 

• Your Grade Average will be calculated based on the grades of your penultimate year (the year before your final year).
