Creating value is key to your company’s survival, and a deep understanding of how to measure and manage value can give you a decisive edge over your competitors. RSM’s Business Valuation programme gets you there.
This four-module Dutch-taught executive programme helps you become an expert in measuring value, enabling you to advise or decide on corporate strategy, M&A and capital investments. In addition, you learn how to apply this expertise to value-based management: running your business or organisation with the objective of creating maximum value. You deepen your understanding of the theoretical concepts as well as develop your ability to conduct advanced financial analyses and valuations.
You will learn from the wide experience of Professor Marc Goedhart, co-author of the McKinsey practitioner’s book Valuation: Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies.
Optional Register Valuator track
The programme also offers an additional Register Valuator track. To obtain the title of Register Valuator you need to:
- Complete two extra modules of three days
- Successfully complete a written exam at the end of module 6
- Successfully complete the NiRV assessment
RSM has led the way in teaching business valuation since it launched the Netherlands’ first Business Valuation programme in 1995. The depth of knowledge and experience of our faculty ensures that you will obtain a degree of the highest quality. During the programme, you will:
- gain a deep understanding of valuation at the theoretical as well as practical level
- learn how to apply valuation skills in strategic, financial and operational decisions
- develop valuation models you can take with you and use in practice
- have personal interaction with international experts
- have the option to work towards the Register Valuator degree.
You will benefit from this programme, if you have experience in corporate finance and want to become an expert at valuation. Most participants work in business controlling or financial services, and have a degree in economics or management.
“The programme was highly valuable as there was an excellent mix of theory and practical use of the materials. As CEO of a local bank, I’m responsible for the integral management of the bank and specifically for the SME and corporate advice portfolios. These teams deal with financial and strategic issues including acquisition, mergers, sales and buy ins. The excellent RSM programme consists of intense weeks, with plenty of deep dives and with a great diverse group. I learned not only a theoretical foundation, but also practical tools and models and a great network of peers to work with.”
Jelmer J. Algra, CEO of Rabobank Leeuwarden Noordwest Friesland
“I had basic knowledge of finance from a former job as strategy and management consultant at a bank. I’m now involved in my organisation’s corporate finance cases. RSM’s valuation programme gave me the knowledge how to valuate companies – big and small. I learned the variables that have the most impact on the value, and how you can valuate a fast-growing (tech) company. In addition to the in-depth-knowledge of finance, thanks to Marc Goedhart, I also enjoyed learning from a group of true professionals who work mostly within the SME segment.”
Rainier van Vlokhoven, managing partner at Lyanthe (robotic accounting)
