The external environment has become increasingly turbulent and uncertain. Many organisations are pressured to restructure; changing their priorities, and developing new products and services. Another issue is that change initiatives often cost more, take longer and achieve less than originally intended.
After this programme, you will be able to:
- understand the complexity and messiness of change
- lead change effectively in your organisation
- make realistic plans for change
- choose the appropriate style to engage others in change
- identify diverse stakeholders, and know how to deal with them
- implement strategies to deal with resistance
- apply a range of options to bring about change.
You are a manager who is involved in driving change or innovation within your organisation. You are, for example, a team leader or project manager looking for the tools and frameworks on how to lead change. If you are responsible for managing process improvement initiatives that require effective organisation and communication to succeed, you will also find this course useful.
“By being aware of the changes and processes that my organisation and teams are dealing with, I can respond better and lead more effectively. The three days of RSM’s ‘Leading Change’ course just flew by. You learn how to drive people to take action. The programme’s combination of theory and practical application mean you can use it immediately. The energy and knowledge of the teacher and interacting with other programmes were great. I chose Leading Change as part of RSM’s diploma programme, which I joined because the modules will expand my knowledge and skills as a manager. It gives my career a boost for the future.”
