How to apply

If you are an external (non-RSM) student and want to apply the pre-master programme offered by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University please follow the steps listed below.

Complete the on-line application form (OLAF) on the RSM website. This can be done between 1 October and 15 May (or until the programme has reached maximum capacity, whichever occurs first).

When you have filled in all of the necessary information on the on-line application form and uploaded the required documents listed below and submit your application by clicking the submit button at the end of the form.


Required supporting documents:


A copy of your passport (the passport must be valid) 


A copy of your secondary education diploma and academic transcript. If the original documents are written in a language other than English, Dutch or German you will need to provide an official translation. 


A copy of your university diploma(s) and academic transcripts/records (including the grades of the propaedeutic phase). If the original documents are written in a language other than English, Dutch or German you will need to provide an official translation. If you indicated on your application form that you have not yet completed your bachelor studies, please send us an official copy of your academic record(s) so far and provide the date you are expected to fulfil all requirements necessary for graduation. Applicants are required to have completed their bachelor programmes before 31 August. If you fail to meet this requirement you will not be allowed to start the pre-master programme. After you have been admitted, you will be asked to send certified copies of your diploma and transcript to the RSM admissions office.


A copy of your GMAT exam results. GMAT exam results can be verified online if you have given RSM permission to access your score. The institution code for all programmes is: QK8-CX-28. 


 Your Motivation. Explain your reasons for applying to the programme of your choice in the online application form.


Your Curriculum Vitae. 

Additional important remarks:

  • We expect you to upload all of the above mentioned relevant documents in our online application form.
  • Please notify the Admissions Office via our contact form if your email address changes.
  • Please submit your application on time. It is not possible to submit your application after the application deadline (deadlines for all programmes are listed on our website).
  • Only complete applications will be considered for admission. You will receive an e-mail from the RSM Admissions Office confirming whether your application was found to be complete or not within two weeks after it has been submitted.
