Why did you choose this MSc?
"I wanted to complement my prior work experience with a master that would equip me with the tools to grasp an overarching view of strategy, which would in turn allow me to apply that in practice and take on leadership roles. RSM’s MSc in Strategic Management definitely provides a thorough understanding of the different elements that go into both the formulation and execution of strategy within organisations."

How would you describe the programme and RSM?
"RSM is a top-level institution with a great reputation. The programme is fast-paced, so you need to be driven and able to manage several projects simultaneously. Next to studies, RSM offers various student organisations and committees to enrich both your skills and social life outside of the classroom."

What was the biggest challenge in this master?
"Time management. The programme is short, and with courses overlapping with the thesis, I had to be smart about allocating my time in the best way. The thesis naturally takes a lot of independent work and commitment, and balancing that with my courses and extracurricular commitments at study association STAR taught me valuable time management skills."

What made the greatest impression?
"People. Within courses, you get the opportunity to work on several team projects and business cases. I made some great friends in the programme, and really enjoyed working in teams with many bright students. Overall, the programme and RSM are international, which was a key criterion in choosing RSM in the first place."

How did your studies at RSM shape your career?
"RSM and the programme gave me a strong foundation to apply in the corporate world. I developed my skills at analysing what goes into the decision-making process when evaluating the needs of an organisation and its strategies at different stages. My time at RSM also allowed me to better evaluate different career opportunities, learn about myself and about the type of work I want to do, helping me in my career choices."

What are your future plans?
"I recently started working at Unilever as a Nordic brand manager, where I’m taking on a new challenge in managing several brand portfolios and their performance within the Scandinavian region. I plan to develop myself and continue pursuing an international career."
