There are a number of (typically student-run) organisations that organise examination-prep and crash-courses, distribute readers, and make a profit by charging students fees for their services. We do not promote these organisations in our communication with students, and we simply ask that teaching staff members be aware of their existence and alert to any (mis)use of materials (such as old examinations that are used as practice materials, lecture slides taken from Blackboard and distributed during these courses or recopied in readers, etc.). Some organisations have been reprimanded in the past for illegal use of the RSM logo or illegal reproduction of lecture slides and other copyrighted materials. If you think that an organisation or company is making illegal use of your materials please contact Programme Management.
When applying for the International Management/CEMS programme, you are required to provide proof of proficiency in at least three languages, one of which must be English. The second and third languages can be any languages (including your mother tongue).
On the CEMS language requirements pages you can find explanations of the minimum required level for these languages, and how to provide the correct documentation for each language.
Yes, students who have a bachelor degree from a research university in a subject other than business administration may apply for our MSc programmes as long as they have taken a sufficient number of required courses during their bachelor programme. The course requirements are different for each MSc programme and are listed in the admission requirements table for each MSc programme.
The Master in Management (English, Full-Time) and the Master in Management (Dutch, Part-Time) programmes are specially designed for students with a bachelor degree in any discipline other than business.
Students who are missing courses in statistics and or research methods can apply for our premaster programmes.
Students who are missing a small amount of business administration can sign up for our minor Business Management https://www.rsm.nl/master/landing-page-business-management-minor-campaign-1/application/.

Studielink is a national web-based registration database in the Netherlands used for the enrolment of students. Studielink can also be used for organising your registration, payment of tuition fees, signing out and changing your correspondence address. For questions regarding the Studielink application (e.g. logging in, password, how to use Studielink), please contact the Erasmus Student Service Centre.
The first step in the IBA application process is to register in Studielink.
For Numerus Fixus studies such as IBA at RSM, Studielink opens on the 1 October and closes on 15 January at 23:59 CET (Central European Time). This is not the actual application! Only once you have completed the 2nd step of the process, the RSM Online Application Form (OLAF), you will be considered an applicant.

The library has also created a number of E-courses:
Via the button ‘Information skills modules’ on our Training & Support portal you will find an overview of all modules, ordered per theme (pillar). Here you can also find a short explanation on the Why & How of these modules. For your benefit, we have indicated which modules contain videos and/or e-exercises.
The modules can also be found via the search page of the Training & Support portal. You – and of course the individual students – can use that to search for exactly those modules that you find relevant. It is possible to filter our full offer of training & support materials (the University Library offers many other kinds of support besides information skills support) to find the e-learning materials aimed at Bachelor and Master education.
The search result you will not only give you the new e-modules, but also existing e-courses. The new e-modules are recognizable by their round-shaped pillar icon (thumbnail), the same ones as can be seen in the overview page.
It is of course also possible to perform a free text search to find exactly the topic your students need (extra) training in.
For the academic year 2017-2018, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) will grant several partial scholarships, depending on the quality of the applicants, for selected students from non-EEA countries who are not entitled to pay the EEA tuition fee and whose grades in their previous programmes are considered ‘excellent’. The value of the partial scholarship is between 30-70% of the full non-EEA tuition fee. This scholarship is meant for prospective students only (thus, this scholarship is not meant for currently enrolled RSM and EUR students), excluding HBO pre-master students.
Prospective students (thus, this scholarship is not meant for currently enrolled RSM and EUR students) of the following MSc programmes can apply:
In principle, a fair distribution of scholarships over the various MSc programmes will take place. This principle may be deviated from and priority may be given to applicants for certain MSc programmes.
Application for the scholarship is open for prospective MSc students, starting their studies in the academic year 2017/2018, from all non-EEA countries, provided they would be charged the non-EEA tuition fee.
The school may give preference to students with one of the following nationalities:
Additionally, the school may strive for a certain distribution over the continents.
Applicants cannot be recipients of any other scholarships exceeding the amount of 5.000 euro in total in that same academic year.
3. For which year?
The scholarship will be awarded for one academic year (12 months).
For the remaining months of the MSc International Management-CEMS programme (18 months) and the MScBA Master in Management programme (16 months) the regular tuition fee apply for non-EEA Master students. Students should be aware that they will need to have sufficient means to cover the study costs of the remaining programme.
4. Excellence
Excellence for applicants with a Bachelor of Science from Dutch universities is proven if the average grade over the entire programme at the time of application is at least 8.0/10.
Additionally, a GMAT score of at least 700 is required – also for applicants from schools and/or programmes exempt for GMAT for admission.
Excellence for applicants with a Bachelor of Science from non-Dutch universities is proven if the average grade over the entire programme at the time of application is at least the equivalent of the Dutch grade of 8.0 on the Dutch grading scale 1 – 10.
The Scholarship Committee will decide on the local grade equivalents for the Dutch grade of 8.0 using the grade information included in (a.o.) the Nuffic country modules.
Additionally, a GMAT score of at least 700 is required – also for applicants from schools and/or programmes exempt for GMAT for admission.
Please note that we can only take a scholarship application into consideration if it is complete and meets all of the requirements. This includes a minimum GMAT test score of 700.
5. When to apply?

Applicants for the MSc International Management-CEMS can apply for the scholarships any moment between 15 October 2016 and 31 January 2017.
6. Application procedure

During this process you can also upload your scholarship application letter. The application letter should include the following information;
Please note that we can only take a scholarship application into consideration if it is complete and meets all of the requirements. This includes a scholarship application letter.
7. How does it work?
For the academic year 2017-2018, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) will grant two to three partial scholarships, depending on the quality of the applicants. The value of the partial scholarship is between 30-70% of the full non-EEA tuition fee.
The scholarship takes the form of a waiver being the amount of money that will be subtracted from the full non-EEA tuition fee (€ 17,300).
The student will receive the scholarship for one academic year. The non-EEA tuition fee for non-EEA Master students will apply for the remaining period of study.
For the scholarship, no actual transmission of money takes place.
The scholarship part of the non-EEA tuition fee will be subtracted from the full non-EEA tuition fee before the start of the academic year, enabling the beholder to immediately pay the reduced tuition fee; either at once or in instalments.
By accepting this scholarship you agree to assist the RSM Recruitment and Admissions Office as an Ambassador with promotional and support activities for approximately 8 hours per month during the academic year.
8. Decisions
The decisions on the award of the scholarship will be made by the RSM Scholarship Committee. This scholarship committee will determine award recipient(s) on 15 April 2017.

All applicants who have earned their diploma outside of the Netherlands, pay a handling fee of €100 upon submitting their application. The Online Application Form will automatically determine whether you are required to pay the fee or not. This fee can be paid online using the Erasmus Payment System. This system offers applicants the possibility to pay using either iDEAL (for those with a Dutch bank account) or PayPal (which can be linked to any bank account or credit card worldwide). It is important that applicants complete the payment process as indicated, otherwise the system cannot register the payment. The fee is non-refundable. Applications without successful payment of the fee cannot be submitted and will therefore not be processed.
We strongly advise you not to submit your application at the last minute! Paying the handeling fee is not always instant. Do not miss the deadline because your payment was not processed on time!
