Executive MBA students typically invest an average of 15-20 hours per week outside of classroom sessions. This time includes individual study hours, assignment work, and collaboration with study group members for group projects. While this figure serves as an average, it may vary depending on the student and the course. Additionally, as you progress through the programme, you'll develop strategies to streamline teamwork, potentially reducing preparation time for group assignments. A general guideline is to allocate three hours of study outside of class for every hour spent in class.

Als je het pre-master programma hebt afgerond, kun je hiervoor een verklaring van je behaalde cijfers krijgen. Deze kun je opvragen bij de Studentenadministratie, Afdeling Studievoortgang & Diplomering, Sanders gebouw, kamer L3-033.

Nee, pre-master studenten kunnen geen vrijstellingen aanvragen. Zij moeten alle vakken van het pre-master programma met succes afronden. 

Het is mogelijk de 'Elective space' in bachelor 3, (onder andere) in te vullen met een externe minor van een andere universiteit. Je dient hiervoor toestemming te vragen aan de Examencommissie via Osiris Zaak in Osiris Student.

Je dient er rekening mee te houden dat elke universiteit een eigen minorsysteem heeft en eigen voorwaarden waaraan je eventueel moet voldoen. Het is je eigen verantwoordelijkheid om dit uit te zoeken. Indien je vragen over dit onderwerp hebt, kun je ook contact opnemen met de programma manager van Bachelor 3 of de studieadviseurs. Meer informatie over de minor aan de EUR kun je vinden op de website www.eur.nl/minor. 

Het is niet mogelijk een tentamen dat plaatsvindt op de RSM, Erasmus Universiteit, op een andere locatie te maken.

Aanwezigheid tijdens colleges is verplicht, maar het kan een keer voorkomen dat je niet aanwezig kan zijn. Je dient dit vooraf aan te geven bij de programma manager. Samen kijken jullie naar een oplossing om het gemiste college te kunnen inhalen.

De meeste colleges worden op video vastgelegd, zodat je de gedoceerde stof kunt bekijken. De video's zijn beschikbaar via de digitale leeromgeving Canvas. 

Je kunt afstuderen in een van drie specialisatievakken die je hebt gekozen:

• Management van verandering
• New business: innovatie en ondernemerschap
• Operational excellence in services and supply chains
• Strategie en vernieuwing
• Strategie en internationalisatie

If an organisation is offering sponsorship, it indicates their belief in your potential as an employee. Consider broadening the conversation beyond just time and financial support. Can you negotiate opportunities for challenging projects where you can apply your newfound EMBA knowledge? Are there discussions about your potential growth within the company post-EMBA? Is the organisation receptive to your innovative ideas? If you're certain you cannot commit to your company's requirements for sponsorship, you might explore self-funding. However, it's advisable to still discuss your intentions with your employer to gauge their support. Having your company's backing can significantly enrich your EMBA experience. That being said, we do have successful participants who pursue the programme without company sponsorship.

The student advisers provide a designated point of contact, where the student can access friendly and professional help, advice and guidance during their study at RSM. They are familiar with all aspects of the programmes offered by RSM.

You have the option to incorporate up to a maximum of 1.0 bonus points (as related to the final, overall grade) in your course assessment through the use of a bonus assignment (or assignments), examination(s) for bonus points, or through cooperation with the ERIM - ERPS programme. In regard to the latter, there are limitations as to how many courses per bachelor year and per trimester can participate in the ERPS bonus point programme, so special permission is required from the RSM Examination Board.

The Examination Board has a number of rules and regulations in place regarding bonus points in BSc courses. More information about the specific rules (such as the fact that bonus points for Bachelor 1 courses must be applicable for both the regular and re-sit exams, and ERIM bonus points can only be awarded to students who have scored a 5.5 or higher on the course in question) can be found via Teaching Net

Please be aware that overall grades cannot exceed 10.0, even after application of a bonus point (in other words, if a student has an overall grade of 9.5 before bonus and earns a bonus of 1.0, the final grade cannot be higher than 10.0).

The Executive MBA programme has been specifically designed to offer a comprehensive and solid understanding of all functional areas of global business. The first year of the programme is structured into two modules, focusing on the development of analytical skills and critical thinking. The following half-year is devoted to leadership issues, allowing students to customise their experience. RSM’s Executive MBA curriculum is continuously adapted and modified to reflect the latest global trends. In terms of elective courses, you can choose up to three in total during Module 2. This is an opportunity to focus on the areas and topics that are most interesting to you and allows for a deep dive into a particular subject if you choose to do so. 

The In-Company Project (ICP) serves as an internal consulting opportunity. Projects can vary widely, addressing specific business challenges within your current responsibilities or exploring new business ideas proposed by your employer. Examples of past projects include IT outsourcing, departmental restructuring, launching a startup venture, or devising new processes for managing customer requests.

Yes, you have to take care of a house by yourself. 

Although a complete and useful overview of housing information can be found on the housing pages of the Erasmus University, this information especially applies to RSM’s first year students coming from abroad.

The Examination Board does not usually meet with students in person. However, it may be possible that students are invited by the Examination Board to provide additional information regarding a certain complaint or request.
