Carola Steenmeijer

Carola Steenmeijer is the founder and owner of Steenhart Consulting, an advisory firm advising financial institutions on strategic risk management issues. She beliefs that, by enhancing their strategic risk management function, financial institutions can be a key enabler of the transition into a more sustainable society. Before starting her own business Carola was a partner at KPMG’s risk consulting practice, responsible for this service offering in the banking industry.

Henk Jan Reinders

Henk Jan Reinders is a policy advisor and economist at the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and pursues his PhD at RSM. His research focuses on the nexus between climate change and the financial sector. He is one of the lead authors of the DNB report on climate-related financial risks (‘Waterproof’). Henk Jan holds an MSc (cum laude) in International Economics from the University of Amsterdam and an MSc in Management of Technology from Delft University. Before he has also worked at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Commission.

Dieuwertje Bosma

Dieuwertje Bosma is project manager of the Erasmus Platform for Sustainable Value Creation. She graduated in applied ethics at Utrecht University, on financial ethics. She writes about ethics & finance and is interested in how companies and institutions can be stimulated in being more sustainable. 

Stephanie Mooij

Stephanie Mooij is a Senior Associate Engagement at Aegon Asset Management. Her research aims to explore the interactions between investors and companies and how to make these conversations more productive. She aims to address questions such as: How does differing sophistication of actors in addressing ESG, affect their interaction dynamics? What are the main levers and underlying mechanisms that affect the productivity of ESG conversations? She has also written various papers and articles on the ESG rating and ranking industry and the influence this intermediary has on ESG integration. Stephanie holds a PhD in Responsible Investment from Oxford University and an MSc (Cum Laude and Honours) in Finance and Investments from Erasmus University. Before doing her PhD, she worked as an equity analyst at Ownership Capital.
